today is Sunday and atticus is still gone so we cant go to our normal Church, and cal doesnt know what to do with us.
because last time we went to church without atticus we ended up
locking Eunice Ann into the fernas room !
so, calpurnia decided that we go to church with her.
cal goes to first purchase M.E. church .
she scrubbed us clean jem and i both and she starched my dress so
much when i sat down it looked like a tint.
As, we walked through the doors of the Church it was a crowed of Negros, all dressed up and fancy !
there was this one she was tall and dark and she spoke to cal
about us being at church with her. she was saying things like they have their church and we have ours.
jem told cal if they want us to leave then we can go. cal said no we are staying. so we sat down and saw zeebo which is cal's son
he sings for the Church and they sing with book called hymnbooks they seem pretty neat !
cal gave both me and jem a dollar so we can put it into a collection for Helen Robinson tom's wife ! so church ended and as we were walking home we saw Aunt Alexandria ! sitting on our porch.
